I read Kitchen Confidential prior to this (didn’t log it, will later) and there’s such a huge difference in writing in comparison to this book. Anthony has tremendous appreciation and zest for life and enhancing it through food and culture and travel, but at the same time he feels out of place and becomes a little nihilistic. I am running out of writing space ah!
