I really do not think this writer knows the word empathy, again Haley is angry bc she has to take care of her step child. An empathetic person would take that on and feel compassion for all the crap the child has been through and be empathetic that Dane is a sheriff and is struggling himself. If Haley doesn’t learn compassion soon I’m out.

Ok… I get Haley is trying to learn about being a parent and good for her. The problem I’m having is she is supposed to be an empathetic person however she wants to assert her dominance over Danica? To be the alpha? I get it she trains dogs and needs to be strict and disciplined, but empathetic people feel other emotions and wants to help them, her coldness towards the girl isn’t empathetic at all!!!
