Honestly this book didn't grab me until just now. I'm kind of upset with myself for reading this far but I trust Brandon Sanderson enough to keep pushing through with the slop that was the first half of this book. Hopefully this book sets up the next book for a grand slam because if not this entire series took a massive downturn after book #1.

Very disappointed in this novel tbqh. The first book in this series really hooked you right off the bat and you were hungry to learn more about the world and the magic system. This book just is extremely slow going in the beginning. It takes about 200 pages to introduce any interesting characters or meaningful story beats. Everything before that is just rebuilding from the end of the last book.
