I really liked the first book in this series. I'm not enjoying this one.
I don't remember anywhere near this level of language in the first book. I will likely finish it but the trash of having a very conservative person act wild at a party with a bunch of strangers when its completely out of character is pushing me toward a DNF.

It has gotten a little better as it progressed but also darker. I didn't want to bum you out about it. I was so surprised, since I liked the first one so much, I wanted others to have a little warning.I started an earlier series by this author and the language and content were enough that I DNF. This is much more tame than that one.
I expect to finish tonight or tomorrow and will update.
I posted a review. This book is decidedly darker than the first one. Read it knowing that there may be points when you want to walk away for a bit. It has a different vibe from book #1.
