A sort of fantaasy take on the idea of The Expendables or Suicide Squad from DC comics. There is a same-sex romance plot that sort of comes out of nowhere, and struck me as a bit of an afterthought, but other than that confusing thread (that didn't really resolve it self well and probably never will given the ending. i think this book was thoroughly entertaining.

Balthazar is my favorite character.
