major turn of events, this might be a five star. me reading this right now is such perfect timing (bcs i recently spiralled thinking i was so far behind compared to others after stalking my peer's linkedin profiles) so far, the author's angle about finding/building a career vs trying out everything to find your "true" calling has been a nice reminder that my story is mine, and that's what's important

referencing the title, this is not what i thought this book would be... i could not at all relate to the author's newfound experience of facing the idea that they might be perpetually single because, like i said, i simply could not care less about being in a relationship aside from the weekly daydreams of my partner being a hunky, tall, emotionally mature and rich man, which in today's time has extict as a species

me and this author could not be any more different and im slowly starting to not give a shit about what she has to say. she's a millennial still caught up abt her recent situationship and ima gen z who has completely lost interest and is not actively in pursuit of men. also her discoveries of "voicing out how you feel instead of feeling what you're being told to feel" in a relationship shit is not a novel idea...
