Really enjoying this but it is CHUNKY! How had it taken me a week to read 9% plz

Slow going as it’s a long book and lots of characters introduced. But just as with other Clavell books I’ve read, I can feel a massive story building and it’s incredible. Cant wait to see what happens.

Love how characters and events from Shogun and Tai Pan are woven in, but not too intricately. It’s still its own book. Very clever.
