It’s great to be able to relate to some of the experiences June is having around an Asian community - and how it made her as a non Asian woman made her feel

Also, she is finally dealing with the consequences of her own actions, however she does not care to take accountability unless it’s hush hush or it affects her.

Oh man the hypocrisy and the further lack of empathy is astonishing. Great highlight on the treatment of newfound “celebs” towards their team members and how their entitlement ruins the livelihoods of those working with them!

YO that last sentence of chapter 3 WAS SO INSANELY ENTITLED THAT WAS INSANE. The way RF Kuang delves you into Junie's thought process of the slow justification for her actions is incredible. You know it's wrong - yet, you can understand her desperation and anxiousness to finally feel valid in her work.

I will say though, I understand why Junie's writing was never picked up... its bad.

Junie is a typical character you can hate with all your might, yet has relatable/understanding takes that you don’t end up hating the character - but, see where she’s coming from! That first chapter wild tho lol
