I'm hooked, the writing is engaging as of now.
It might also be my bias towards historical fictional and obviously the language being bengali.

I have been thinking and so far Im in awe of bharati , I need more of sabyasachi and sumitra in the rest of the book.

I like the Apurbo Bharati banter but as a main character apurbo's growth is still in its initial phase for now.

I knew girish mohapatro was sabyasachi ,
Bharti got into Pather dabi feels just righttt.

Sumitra is proper crush material.

I'm impressed a 100 yr old book with feminist tropee

Khabar jogaar korbe bharati, kheyal rakhbe bharati aar meye chaai brahman ghorer mayer pocchonder.

Apurbo cries about divide between Indians but is inherently classist himself.
This might also be the case because the book was written 100 yrs back or just a character flaw, we'll know in like 9 hourssss.

I feel apurbo likes bharoti coz she kinda homely.

Bharoti in league with sabyasachi would make me so happy ngl.
