I just sit down and start plotting the series, and it's just sort of what I see for the series. I will start thinking about the characters and that's just how it all falls into place. I love this part of the writing process where you come up with new characters, a new family or friend group, a new town, and all the tropes. It's where it all starts and it's always very exciting to get things going!

How do I name my small towns:
I brainstorm name ideas and just try to get the feel for the town and make sure the name is fitting for that town/series. I love choosing the names of towns when I start a new series, and I just trust my gut when I think it sounds right. Sometimes it's super quick and other times it takes a few days until it feels right!
