The kind of escapism one needs in a dystopian world, set a century ago during another weird era of wild criminality, superficial living, corruption, and outrageous income disparity. I’m pretty sure I know whodunnit, the murder. But feeling like the culprits are obvious doesn’t lessen the delight in the first-person narration of the capers. Really fun!
