Still don't like Sloane. She's such a hypocrite. She's shallow and not at all willing to trust others, listen to advice, or do anything but whatever SHE thinks is best or wants....and then scolds Naomi for the same thing.

This book is a 'what if the worst women you know became vampires and instead of handling this responsibly, they just go crazy and blame each other".

I'm not getting the 'feminist' literature part.

Sloane is still a real debby-downer. Naomi is still a chaotic wildcard. Neither is thinking logically. Sloane is so determined to NOT be a vampire that she keeps leading Naomi and herself into bad situations, and then when Naomi goes crazy and kills someone (because Sloane refuses to accept help from the older vampires), Sloane treats Naomi like garbage. These are the worst friends ever.

Ok this book gets a LOT better once the vampires are present.
Also both Sloane and Naomi are more tolerable as vampires.

Oh so apparently every problem I have with this book goes away when the hot broody ancient vampire man enters the stage.....because if Sloane doesn't run away with Henry I'm going to scream.

Absolutely lost it when the vampire (I am assuming he's the vampire. It's pretty obvious) opened his mouth and a Transylvanian accent came out.

Ok Sloane's obsession with her age makes a BIT more sense when you realize her husband is openly cheating on her with young women.

But her being a constantly complaining debby-downer is still getting old.

Sloane is….a very sad protagonist. Are we supposed to like her? I’m 7% in and her constant self pitying, self loathing and self hating is laid on THICK.
