I feel so bad for Jake, I could throw up. Imagine seeing your childhood best friend (practically your sister) fall in love with your enemy (who literally mentally abused her), and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. Especially when Jacob warned her about Edward many times beforehand!!!

I definitely gain a lot of sympathy for Rosaline from this chapter. She loved her human life & everything was perfect. She got engaged with a man who she trusted to continue making her life even better, protect her, and to love her. Little did she know that he had poor intentions. His true colours showed when he got drunk, and raped her. Then Carlisle saved her, but she didn’t even know who he was. She was scared.
