This is already one of the greatest things I’ve ever read. I’m taking it about twenty times slower than usual to savor this one. My reading challenge for the year will not be met because of this book, and I don’t care in the slightest. Reading it episodically, as it is written. Pynchon is immortal.

Leif Quinlan Was thinking of picking this up myself this summer in anticipation of Pynchon's upcoming (last?) novel

AJ You very much should, although I’m only a couple hundred pages into a thousand plus, I have highlighted more passages than from any other of Pynchon’s novels, maybe with the exception of Mason & Dixon.

Goatboy I look forward to one day re-reading this one. Tons and tons of heart in these pages.

AJ There really is.

T.R. Wolfe It's my favorite book. I've read it twice and can't wait for the third. Working on M&D right now!

AJ I read M&D last year and loved it. Been reading chronologically since Vineland after making the poor decision to start with GR. Still loved it, but shouldn’t have dived head first into that one.
