i'm really liking this book, the writing is super lyrical in a way that isn't artificial or forced. my only (minor) issue is just how heavy the content is. it really is dark and triggering but, still, it is an excellent read so far.

there was a not-so-graphic sexual assault in the first chapter and it was described in the most gut-wrenching manner. i am deeply sorry for those who have experienced such sinister plights like this and i truly hope that this was the brunt of such triggering topics in this book.

other than that, i am in love with susie's punchy and witty narration in this, and i am thoroughly excited for what's to come!
