Savita Singh Will check your rating and review , to guage this book .. whether he writes as eloquently as he speaks .

Austin George Savita, his writing is eloquent, smart, and humorous too. This novel gives more details about the tragic British rule over India. Most of us know the basics. This novel goes more deeply into it. I discovered many things that I didn't even know. The second half of the book is about post independence politics of India. I am not that knowledgeable about it. So this book helped me to learn a lot about it, in an interesting way. I am surprised by many of the happenings from the bygone era.

This is an interesting book based on the Mahabharata. It helped that I read The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divyakaruni earlier. Familiarized myself with the Mahabharata characters.
