The fic states Charlie grounded Bella after “Twilight” as well, for running off. Honestly, I don’t doubt that he would do this, only not with the anger that he did in “New Moon”. It also was probably less severe on Bella, which might be the doc’s rationalization of why she never mentioned it. It’s also a good reason why things are so tense with Charlie and Edward. Really like this take!
