Giving up on this 60% in - I think I got the ick?
Girl if you’re gonna write about war you’re gonna need some semblance of a plot. Instead you introduce a million characters and now I have to read a paragraph describing each of their outfits in unnecessary detail any time they enter the room? And why is all character development abandoned for cheap yearning because everyone is suddenly “mated” to each other?

Too many characters for the flimsy plot to hold. And they’re all matched in pairs like a Bollywood drama…
And for a character driven book, it feels like the character development of the main characters is put on hold while we have to now care about whatever is going on with Nesta and Elain - who are kind of insufferable - and their respective potential romance arcs. Bad decisions in my humble opinion <<<
