At the moment it was very hurtful to find so many authors we read making fun and bitching about their own readers , safety readers to be specific.
But what made it funny is after a few readers found their little threads dicussion and started sharing it the OP author aka Hannah Cowan deleted her posts and even the comments from the reader that she was publicly ridiculing and she started doing damage control by posting her " safe " books,

I was so ready to make a threads account just to reply to the post that’s making fun of safety readers. It’ll be so fun to ask them to list the books that have celibate fmc x non celibate mmc vs their books that have the opposite. Let’s see if the numbers add up. Do you know who’s the reader Hannah Cowan was publicly ridiculing and what book was that?

i think they redacted the name but you could see it was a tiktok comments and find out who they were and i agree heavily we just hate double standards

I don’t mind the non celibacy as long as they BOTH are. You’re correct, the double standard is the worst. Now I’m wary of these authors who jumped on the train. Thanks for sharing that btw!

One of my fav author made some comments about safety readers that I didn’t like so I stopped reading her books, I don’t have any kind of trouble canceling products from my wallet. At the end of the day buyers have all the power, I don’t pay for anything I don’t enjoy, and if you can not help it, download them illegally, low, lower… I
