All right, my people of the book...it's time for an important question:

What's the most memorable place you've ever read?

It could be a favorite spot from childhood, or a glorious library, or maybe your local coffeeshop...maybe it's under the tree in your backyard, or at sunset on a beach, or while people watching on La Rambla.

Let's hear alllll about it, friends!

Ben A My mom’s house is tiny and cold. There is a place near the center of the house, in the hallway where the heater blows and it’s the comfiest place. I’ve read many a book sitting there.

Sean O Best place was a beach condo. Everyone else swam and sunned. I did that too, but I also finished 5 books that week.

PinkPanthress Underneath our living room table when I was tiny. Tiny just like the flat we used to live in.

I have so many fond childhood memories if sitting next to a heater and reading, especially during the fall and winter...I'm right there with you!

I would have done the same thing (beach and sun is not my first choice)! :)

Peter My most memorable reading place, I'm hoping, is awaiting me in the future.

Donna While climbing the CN Tower! I was reading Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, because I needed SOMETHING to do for the 30+ minutes that would take (and also because it would distract me from the height).

Peter, Peter, Peter...you can't remember something that hasn't happened yet! Unless you're one of those time travelers...which you might be.

See, this sounds extremely dangerous to me...forget walking and chewing gum; climbing stairs and reading simultaneously would surely be the death of me!

I can tell you from sad experience that going up is WAY easier than going down. But you take the elevator down after climbing the Tower, so thankfully that's not where I learned that lesson.

Paul Reading in the pool while on holiday in Turkey in 2000, while also eating a burger and drinking a Coke the hotel staff had brought me. Quite possibly the most decadent thing this poor boy from the litter tray of England has ever done.

The book I was reading was Steve Alten’s ‘Meg’ and, despite the fact a megalodon couldn’t have fit in that pool even if they weren’t extinct, I was still a little nervous… the power of the idiotic mind, folks!

Very bougie, Paul. Though it would have made for a fun story if you HAD gotten eaten by a megalodon...

Though I'm not sure who would tell that story, on account of the fact that you'd be fish food.

Paul ‘Eaten by a megalodon’ would be a cool thing to have on your gravestone… although, if you had been, you probably wouldn’t have one…

Zain The doghouse! I would read in there mostly in the summer. I enjoyed the comics my aunt was throwing out. Richie Rich, Little LuLu, Spider-Man, Dot, Archie and Betty or Veronica, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four and The Thing. Lots of other great comics. Superman, Batman and other superheros from DC and Marvel. 😉

I'd find a piece of you and bury it.
