While I enjoyed the premise, I am struggling a bit with some of the content. Obviously, a convict in a secure hospital would wind up talking of primal happenings. That's not what has actually thrown me off. It's the word 'the' before Maryhill Road and Great Western Road.

Having lived on or near each of these streets, I can assure you that nobody in Glasgow calls Maryhill Road THE Maryhill Road, except for Paterson.
