The backdrop to this Tea Lady crime mystery is the conversion to decimal currency. On the 14th of February 1966, ( are you singing the Jingle) and the construction of the Opera House.
Did your parents or Grandparents buy Opera House lottery tickets, or have an opinion of the iconic vision for Australia on Bunnerong Point.
The book is Aussie as with these mischievous tea ladies and the lingo so good.

A laugh a page. The dialogue is amusing and Irene Turnbuckle is a fair bit of that laugh a page. The backdrop story of Oscar and Hazel’s romantic fling is charming. This is going on whilst the fight to stop the cafe bar machine taking over the tea lady’s job and the Hazel, Betty and Mrs Li tea lady sleuth group figure the cryptic clues to Irene’s legacy left to her by her deceased husband, Tweezers, continues.

Hazel is getting to the bottom of things and is near to cracking the code found in the book that was in Irene’s husbands’ possessions when he died in prison.
Now this is a little bit meaningless unless you start to read the book. Then you will see the tea lady sleuths at work. They are so cool. 😎
