"Gomen'nasai" I know i'm for not translating some japanese terms, but there is a point even I will admit that "yeah you can translate that"

As for the writing, it's pretty by the book "Robot wants to be sentient" stuff with the gruff robot hating cop/detective the not so robot hating sidekick/family member and of course the robot that's sentient.
I think the robot speaking as it is, feels off to me. How would it know it's sentient? It runs on programming.

At least author hasn't done any gender shenanigans yet and Gojusan hasn't IDed one way or another

They did the "her" no "it" thing which doesn't quite work in Japanese as there's no really pronouns.

Also I forgot to mention the parts about the "shame" and "honor" and stuff. It's something I don't see in stories about Japan written by Japanese people, or at least written in such a way.

"Worker's kimono" I'm pretty sure those have names. It's like this guy weebed out everything but didn't do the full research to actually sound like he knows what he's talking about.

He uses "ne" and "gyufun" and "kuso" but research into what clothing bits are called.. NOPE. BTW worker's wear a Hanten which is not mentioned.

Of course the most human droid we have here issssss a woman with the best synthetic skin that makes her look more human than the male IDed droids.

Also their "kimonos" were worn bare chested? I want to say they are wearing yukata and not kimonos........
