The essay "‘Neurotic Men’ and a Spectral Woman: Freud, Jung and Sabina Spielrein" by Jo Collins is very good on Jung's professional malpractice and his attempts to hide the facts from Freud. Collins makes a good case for Jung's break with Freud as having never been about the science of psychoanalysis, but an unprincipled subjective reaction to Freud finding out about the scandal.
