Hmm… but why can’t he just collect the astrophage around his ship to use as fuel? And if they can multiply astrophage in Sahara for years, why can’t they just pick up the Petrova line around the sun and use it for fuel thereby reducing their population and the effect on the sun?

Somewhere out there there’s an American who can write non-Americans as actual people instead of stereotypical caricatures—Weir isn’t one of them 🙄
