Some of the details included just feel unnecessary? It was mentioned that bagpipes were played at a funeral held on this cricket field, and while it's cool that we get to learn this with Raam, he never has a reaction to this information.

This book makes so many references to things I've never heard of. I liked it when it was Tom Petty and the Killers, but I think the author and the main character are the only ones who know all of this media.
