This book is screaming Wizard of Oz vibes. Poppy fields, a tornado, 4 people and a dog heading to a similar destination, a hot air balloon!?... it doesn't take much to correlate. Dorothy wakes from a Dream at the end of the Oz book/movie, and the entire goal for one of the characters is to fall asleep and dream for a month. I'm surprised I haven't read other reviews with this observation. Spoiler?? Am I crazy??
