I'm conflicted. It was fun to see very obvious and hilariously painful references to modern academia, but it's starting to get a bit too much. I'm also not convinced that thesaurus sparing which boils down to insulting each other's intellect is a witty banter...

It just occurred to me that we are yet to learn why/how exactly he is using his magic. So far it seems like even if it's gone he can still kill everyone with a shoelace and boring dialogue lines
