Okay this change of events got me interested and there is chemistry! Crossing my fingers it last.

“Say whatever you want, say the truth” is what the mmc wants from the fmc and for god sakes ME TOO. She is worse than Ross from friends saying “I’m fine”. No it isn’t.

I’m sure that at least 20% or more of this book plays out in the bathroom/bedroom with long descriptions of them during their night routine (shower, dress, comb their hair) 🤣

I also wish the mmc wasn’t so useless. I get the author wanted to reverse the roles and have a strong fmc and a “save me” mmc. But, we like our possessive MMCs for a reason and he is giving me too soft, powerless.

I know the leads are not in a relationship yet but they have feelings towards each other. The fmc is almost dying and the mmc is worried how her death would affect him, as in, being discovered. I’m not getting that “I can’t lose her” feeling more like “ i can’t lose my prince life” feeling.

Still reading. Fmc and mmc are fine enough and the writing is good but I’m missing a lack of chemistry and less boring scenes. I’m skipping and seeing if once the leads get together, would this improve?

I’m close to a DNF. I appreciate a book with plot but this is too politically slow. Just everyday court boring talks and rumours. The mmc and fmc have no chemistry bc there isn’t anything beyond exchange of potential “spy knowledge” between them.

This is a strange read. It keeps you interested but bored at the same time. Can’t decide.

It’s starting to get annoying the lack of conversations these two main leads have. They spend their time wondering what the other one is thinking without asking or talking.

I’m fond of the fmc she is mature enough so far. However, where are the dialogues? This is a lot of internal monologues.
