Listen this book starts off ok, but the whole Cesare being basically crazy and abusive is just eh. And then the constantly hinting at him wanting more with his sister, and then also bringing in his other brother and almost her father that is just disgusting. Just the suggestion is horrifying. Idk if I get through it. I somehow hope they don’t go for it. But.. yeah they make her sound constantly as too innocent

The end is horrible, they take her love, her friend and her baby. Highly fictional. And Cesare is just cruel and always angry. Like he has anger issues very uncomfortable to read.

Like oh she is 11 but such a kid and I am like yeah she fucking is.?? Hello?? And then Julia being with her father the cardinal(58 she 15) like ok I understand history but uh, just, it didn’t age well and I don’t think we should be writing books about this. Or mention it explicitly their age while encouraging it. Just uncomfortable. Maybe product of its time?? But I doubt that…
