Reading this manga as a kid and reading it as an adult are totally different experiences. it was just fun back then but now im low-key traumatized. the torture and violence towards kids, the bullying, the discriminatory star system, the SA passed off as jokes... man what the hell

I thought it was just anime and that it was “normal” for the main characters to be ignored by everyone just for laughs. But even when I was little, I noticed how toxic the environment at Alice Academy was — the teachers would turn a blind eye when something bad happened, especially when the “special” kids did questionable things. Discrimination and child abuse — that’s Gakuen Alice. I’ll keep reading though, because
