Eszu finds Atlas and Elle in London and they are helped to run again. They decide to leave to Australia. They prepare everything for a wedding on the ship and decide to sleep in two rooms at the hotel the night before. Atlas waits for Elle on the deck but she does not come. He finds a letter and she leaves him. Elle cannot continue and thinks he needs to find his path alone.

Atlas and Elle run from Norway because of the war. They arrive in Scotland and are being helped by a family. Their son, Teddy, intents to abuse Elle. That is the moment they decided to leave. Flora, the owner of the house offers a period in her apartment in London. When they arrive in London, Atlas receives a letter from a lawyer and inherits his grandmother legacy in Switzerland.

Atlas moves to Leipzig and starts a new life but Eszu follows him and one night Eszu tries to set his building on fire. Also, it is a period when the power of Hitler rises and Elle is in danger because she is Jewish. They decide to move to Norway with the help of their friends.

A stranger enters the house after Landowski moves to Rome. Atlas thinks the stranger is the person who is looking for him since childhood and tries to talk to him in the dark, telling his entire story. But the thief is Elle’s teacher and now he wants to steal Atlas’ diamond. Evelyne finds them and helps Atlas to leave. Mr. Landowski prepared his escape because he knew he might be in danger.

Atlas falls in love for the first time and helps her to join Music lessons thanks to her talent. She lost her parents during the World War I. Also, Atlas confesses his roots and story to his teacher, Ivan.
