this has been interesting because the setting is very obviously meant to be fantasy Japan, with fantasy Japan prefecture names. but then there is real Japanese language and honorifics. it's hard for my brain to make sense of that dichotomy. maybe it will make more sense later.

loving the magic system and characters so far, though.
