Walter
Walter is 40% done
40% in and this book is sharper than Valyrian steel. Politics, plots, and a brooding wall of ice taller than my to-be-read pile. Tyrion steals every scene with wit so dry it needs wine. Ned’s in over his honor-bound head, Arya is wild, and Jon’s finding brotherhood in the cold. Five out of five impish grins so far — winter may be coming, but I'm not going anywhere.

60% in, and this feels like the deadliest D&D campaign ever.
Ned’s a Lawful Good fighter trapped in a political Underdark, the DM is cruel, and the dice keep rolling nat 1s on Insight. Tyrion’s the rogue with maxed-out Charisma — and I’d join his party any day. Everyone else? Either scheming, dying, or both. Absolutely hooked. 5/5.

Loving the start of A Game of Thrones! The world is rich, dark, and full of hidden tensions. Bran’s fall was shocking, Arya is already a favorite, and Tyrion’s wit is gold. So many characters to discover, and I’m still figuring out who’s who — but I’m hooked. The Starks feel real, the Lannisters suspicious, and winter... is definitely coming. Can’t wait to see where this all leads!

Richard S Yeah and books 2-4 are better than 1 so remember to eat and sleep.

Jakob Shingler Glad you’re enjoying it, Walter! I loved the first one when I start read it!

Walter Thanks, Richard S. and Jakob! I'm having an absolute blast with A Game of Thrones. Somehow it manages to make me laugh, gasp, and forget basic human needs like eating—all at the same time. Don’t worry, I’ll try to remember food exists. Appreciate the encouragement! 😄📖🍴

As Tyrion wisely said: “I drink and I know things.” In my case, I read and I forget lunch.
