It’s so hard to tell if the author hates women or just the central character. If we’re supposed to find her judgments on other women to be a character flaw or if we’re meant to agree. I can’t wait to be done with this book lmao

The most interesting part of this book is learning about pre-revolutionary French lesbianism in passing

It sucks that this author technically writes well because the actual content of this book is literally just the narrator/mc calling everyone busted while everyone else calls her pretty
