The heroine will trust anyone as long as they have malintent towards her but refuses to trust the one trustworthy(ish) guy (the hero) 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Her inability to buy a clue is a little tiresome. I'm hoping they get back to the romance soon.

I found this book at a used bookstore and the first book in the series wasn't there. I'm hoping that starting with book 2 won't be an issue. So far, I am hooked.
