A really great freaking read personally. He wrote a sequel maaaaaaaaany years later. I think this book was also adapted for the big screen a while ago

A friend said the sequel as comparatively weak and felt unfinished.I'm quite enjoying it thus far. Subjecting one of my book clubs to it.
The film adaptation was ANGEL HEART with Mickey Rourke, Robert De Niro, and Lisa Bonet.
If you have a taste for metal music, Ihsahn also has a song about it titled "Elevator".
