Throughout the story Martine went through ups and downs with her classmates while being stuck on an island. Martine learns leadership and group work even with people she doesn't get alone with. The whole class decided to help the dolphins and find a way out of the mine traps located on the island. They found their way home. Overall it was a good book, som parts slower than others.

Throughout the story Martine went through ups and downs with her classmates while being stuck on an island. Martine learns leadership and group work even with people she doesn't get alone with. The whole class decided to help the dolphins and find a way out of the mine traps located on the island. They found their way home. Overall it was a good book, som parts slower than others.

The book eventually gets better after a storm hits the boat the field trip is supposed to be on. As everyone was losing hope, dolphins started helping out and rescuing kids to shore. The classroom split up for survival only leaving Martine and Ben apart thinking they had a better chance with out them. In the long run everyonewas desperate for Martine and Ben's survival guidance.

Martines biggest fear is she will be surrounded by sharks when she goes out to the sea with her classmates. Nightmares about this awful even make her restless but is still forced to go on the trip where more hardships follow.

So far the book is really slow and shows irony on what will happen. Personally the slow details make me want to sleep, but so far the action is this book is flowing through. Some parts are hard to understand and follow because it transfers from Martines thoughts to reality.
