Enjoyed the first story. The second one, “Animal Rescue,” is great. It was very familiar, because I’ve read “The Drop.” Great story. What I didn’t know is that Lehane wrote “Animal Rescue” for this collection, which was then adapted into a James Gandolfini (RIP) movie, which Lehane then adapted into “The Drop.” Never heard of something like that.
