A book heavily centred on the pain of one genocide (the Armenian genocide) casually and flippantly mentioning Israel? Even if it’s just once, I find it heavily ironic. Maybe it was intentional from the author, but I will have to do more research on her work. Completely snapped me out of my immersion.
