I don’t like how questionable Viv’s straightness is

The man-hating is offputting

Kind of haunted and disorienting

You get this sense that the protagonist resents Vivian’s straightness, which undercuts the tenderness the book could’ve had

Protagonist is insufferable. I like the framing device and the general voice.
