The prose is largely beautiful, and it flows in a fashion that speaks of the writer’s own talent which is clearly multitudinous. It was refreshing to read a work of fiction dedicated to the use of stunning, atmospheric language in a purposeful way. It is a well-crafted novel and the characters feel like flesh and blood.

The dialogue is strained and awkward, at times. The pacing and plot could have been refined.
