I am disappointed in the book and I cannot conceive of what could take place in the final 20% that could appease me. I can think of a good ending, a double twist at the end. I will be leaving a review with more lows than highs. I WILL say that the author included some truly demented extreme horror full stop. I am most upset because I chose this book for the Buddy Read. Will she like the extreme horror enough? I hope.

I am halfway through the book and likely finish it Weds or Thursday. It is a cliche with a small group of poorly educated cannibals living in the backwoods.They are family and use the old trick of a road hazard to snag a few "bunnies" every year for the dinner table. We have some torture, mutilation, and body horror, hillbilly cannibal girl raping the black dude.Plot needs to leave anguish behind. No time to lose!
