Opened the book tonight, read three or four sentences, signed, put it back down. Opened GoodReads to scroll through the reviews. I feel validated in the echoed sentiment of slow pacing in the beginning. I'm also seeing that apparently it leans a bit more genre towards the back half, with "twists" and other mystery/thriller elements. Not the direction I was hoping for. Feel comfortable dropping it here.
