what’s great about ulysses is that there is so much to figure out. it is the perfect mystery, the perfect puzzle. to read it, one must uncover enough to not feel lost, but acknowledge and accept that multitudinous worlds yet escape them. to truly “solve” ulysses would require a decade, but the fact that this enigma is in some way solvable makes it truly remarkable. from nonsense arises meaning.
