the spontaneous decision to listen to this audiobook at work bc alice walker narrates it herself may be the worst decision ever. i am going to end up sobbing but also i rlly rlly want to revisit this now that i have an actual brain and am not 13 and oblivious. but also i am at work already i do not need emotional devastation. but also i will definitely be continuing. goddammit!
