F - My favorite part is when the main character connects to civilians when during a convoy. He gives them a silent nod while guarding military trucks, and it gives the civilians a small piece of humanity which is different from the other parts of the book, as they are filled with war.

I uploaded a picture to my good reads updates as Im using it as part of a response. The Iraqis consider the boy throwing the rock at the tank as symbolic, while we know it's dangerous because it can hurt a soldier or be mistaken for a grenade. The Iraqis demonize us for shooting those who do it, they don't realize it's dangerous and so their culture confuses with ours and it hurts our relationship with them.

I think the pages about Guantanamo Bay should be compared to German camps In World War Two. We need to rebuild trust with the Sunni population, to win the war in Iraq. This is like how Germany had to rebuild trust with the world to re-gain their military.

P - Prediction - the main character Matthew giving money to locals and talking to their families as a whole will gain their friendship and they will give up a vital piece of information that they need to capture the terrorist they're looking for.

C - The main character Matthew is excited about sports and games that are about thinking and action which goes into his military interrogation career. I really like logical thinking games and sports too which helps me relate to the character and why he thinks so.
