In the chapter “Not Just One Bear… Five!”, Jim Allen recounts a close call in 1959 when he encountered five bears at once. It really shows just how unpredictable and wild Alaska can be. You never know what might happen out there.

Only on page 25 and just read “Wilderness Nightmare.” Holy shit. That story messed me up. Way heavier and more intense. I had to stop for a second. This book is wild already.
