A looooong book filled with plenty of Gothic, Victorian turns and characters. For me, it was too long indeed.

I enjoyed it and I hated it.

Enjoyed the look into Dickensian London and the poverty, filth, greed and appetites of society at the time.

Hated because the narrator is so loathsome and verbose.

If you are interested in Dickens and Victorian London, by all means read this massive tome.
