Oh, and Basil deserved a proper burial with a tombstone that represented his love for art.

It has the eyes of a devil.""Each of us has heaven and hell in him, Basil," cried Dorian with a wildgesture of despair. » – Chapter 13.

The conversation between Dorian and Basil in chapter 12 was absolutely captivating. It was heartbreaking to read Basil's disappointment based on his morals and Dorian's pride and prepotency in delighting over his "friend's" pain. How much has changed between them and it HURTS.
